Senior Business Manager - Paris [F/M/X]

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Business Manager, you take 360° ownership of your business area while playing a key role in supporting and developing more junior Business Managers.

As a true growth driver, you combine business development, team leadership and strategic input into Afixen’s development.

Client relationship & business development

  • Identify, approach and develop a portfolio of strategic accounts, including large groups, mid-sized companies and industrial companies.
  • Understand your clients’ business, technical and human challenges.
  • Identify opportunities, respond to requests for proposals (RFPs) and build tailor-made business proposals.
  • Manage negotiations and close sales.
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships and position Afixen as a strategic partner.

Recruiting & Talent Management

  • Attract, recruit and retain top engineering and project management talent.
  • Build and grow your own team.
  • Manage with high standards, clarity and empathy.
  • Support skills development and performance at both individual and team level.
  • Foster a strong team culture focused on excellence and collective success.

Business Manager Coaching & Development

  • Support and coach junior Business Managers in their business development and management growth.
  • Share best practices in complex sales, account management and team leadership.
  • Help develop skills across Afixen’s Business community.
  • Contribute to structuring sales methods and business performance management practices.

Financial Management & Business Management

  • Take responsibility for your Business Unit’s financial performance: revenue, margin and profitability.
  • Monitor and manage KPIs, including revenue, margin, staffing rate, conversion rate and growth.
  • Define and implement corrective action plans where needed.
  • Contribute to the long-term development of your Business Unit, including new offerings, partnerships and scope expansion.

Entrepreneurial dimension

  • Act as a true entrepreneur within the group.
  • Actively contribute to improving our tools, processes and strategy.
  • Play a key role in launching and structuring future Afixen offices.
  • Join a long-term entrepreneurial journey with genuine partnership prospects.

Who we’re looking for

  • Master’s degree or equivalent from an engineering or business school.
  • Proven experience in business development, consulting, IT services or an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong commercial mindset and a genuine interest in creating value.
  • You are structured, analytical and results-oriented.
  • Natural leadership and the ability to mobilize and align teams.
  • Comfortable managing complex sales cycles with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives, procurement teams and technical departments.
  • Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
